Precautions for cleaning and maintenance of faucet
Precautions for cleaning and maintenance of faucet include the following three points:
1、 Open and close gently
Don't use too much force to open and close the faucet, just turn it gently. The metal hose of shower head shall be kept in a natural stretching state, and shall not be folded into a dead corner to avoid breaking.
2、 Regular cleaning
Even high-quality faucet products can only play their largest role by proper cleaning and maintenance. The correct method is to use neutral detergent and soft cloth to wipe, and avoid using alcohol and acid detergent when cleaning, because they will damage the surface of the faucet.
3、 Develop good cleaning and maintenance habits
1. Because the water contains a small amount of carbonic acid, which is easy to form scale on the metal surface and corrode the faucet surface, the faucet surface should be frequently wiped with soft cotton cloth or sponge with neutral soap water, and then the surface should be wiped with soft cloth. The water outlet shall be equipped with a screen to clean impurities and scale in the screen.
2. After taking a bath, it is better to clean the water drops in the shower and hang it up. Do not put the shower directly on the switch to form scale. If there is water dirt, gently scrape it with a pencil or chopsticks, and then wipe it with a rag.
3. For the scale and rust on the faucet, just use a damp cloth or sponge dipped in a little special detergent to wipe the surface, and then use a clean rag to dry or rinse with water. Use a soft bristled toothbrush dipped in toothpaste or a cleaning cloth dipped in toothpaste to gently wipe, which can remove scale and oil stains and make the faucet surface clean and bright.
4. Many people only pay attention to the surface of the faucet when cleaning it, but the interior of the faucet is more important. If the water output of the faucet decreases or the water output forks, it may be caused by the blockage of the bubbler. The bubbler can be removed, soaked in vinegar, cleaned with a small brush or other tools, and then reinstalled.
There are many reasons for the water leakage of the faucet. If the water leakage is simple, you can repair it yourself. If there is water leakage at the water outlet, it is caused by the wear of the shaft gasket. Simply loosen and remove the gland bolt with pliers and replace it with a new shaft gasket. If the gap at the lower part of the faucet bolt leaks, it is caused by the wear of the triangular gasket in the gland. Take out the triangular gasket inside the gland and replace it with a new one.
